We Saw Fire — Documentary (2024)
I had the privilege of being part of the creative and technical crew of We Saw Fire, a powerful 48-minute documentary by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF / Doctors Without Borders) that brings to light the human resilience behind one of the world’s most under-reported crises.
Set in Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, the film follows Vitória and her children, who, after fleeing a violent attack on their village, reunite with family in a displacement camp and work to rebuild their lives amidst the trauma of conflict and the harsh realities of displacement. Their journey, marked by perseverance, song, and love, offers a deeply human perspective on survival and hope in the face of devastation.
